Novacore Announces 2025 Supernova Award Winners
We are proud to celebrate this year’s Supernova Award recipients! These individuals exemplify Novacore’s values through their leadership, collaboration and meaningful contributions to our continued success. The 2025 honorees have each demonstrated exceptional commitment to their teams, our partners and the strength of our programs.
We’re proud to recognize Joseph Devlin, Sara Hunt and Matt Lincoln for their outstanding achievements.
Joseph Devlin, ARM
Senior Program Underwriter, ATP
For the last 12 years, Joseph has been one of Novacore’s most trusted and impactful leaders. After beginning his career in claims and building a strong technical foundation, he has spent the past nine years leading production for ATP and strengthening the program’s most important agency relationships.
In 2025, Joseph played a critical role in guiding the ATP team through both a carrier transition and a challenging market environment. His direct, pragmatic leadership, paired with a steady, solutions-oriented mindset, provided clarity and support during a pivotal period for the program. Joseph’s contributions extend well beyond underwriting. He plays a key role in shaping Novacore’s culture, uniting colleagues through team activities, events and traditions that build community.
Joseph’s commitment, professionalism and influence are felt across the organization. Therefore, we are proud to recognize him as a 2025 Supernova Award winner.
Sara Hunt
Underwriter, Staffing Lines
Since joining the Staffing Lines team in April 2025, Sara has made an immediate and remarkable impact. In a short period of time, she has bound nearly $4 million in new business premium, including a single $2.7 million account with our pen market, and successfully wrote the program’s first deductible account with that market. Her ability to identify and execute on new opportunities has helped strengthen the program’s momentum and expand what is possible for the team.
Sara is also a highly collaborative teammate who consistently steps in to train and support new underwriters. Her underwriting referrals are recognized as a model for completeness and clarity, with thorough analysis of exposures, named insured structures, claims details and all supporting information. Colleagues frequently highlight her professionalism, work ethic and thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
Her leadership, initiative and team-first mentality truly reflect what the Supernova Award represents.
Matt Lincoln
Senior Underwriter, Carbon Stop Loss Solutions
Matt embodies the true definition of a team player. Over the course of his career with Novacore, he has risen through the ranks with a high level of professionalism and adaptability, making the transition from Technical Underwriter to Production Underwriter appear seamless.
Matt has never hesitated to step in wherever support is needed. Whether covering for fellow underwriters, training underwriting techs, filling in operationally, participating in vendor calls or helping document underwriting workflows, he continuously contributes beyond his core responsibilities. All the while, he has maintained strong production performance, with a projected $21.2M in premium at 68% RTM for effective dates 2/1/25–1/1/26 and a current 2025 NILR of 74%.
Carrier partners and internal stakeholders regularly share positive feedback on Matt’s responsiveness, teamwork and depth of expertise. His reliability, collaborative spirit and commitment to doing what’s best for the team make him an exceptional representative of this year’s Supernova class.
Honoring Excellence Across Novacore
The Supernova Award recognizes individuals who consistently demonstrate excellence, teamwork and a commitment to moving Novacore forward. Joe, Sara and Matt embody these qualities every day through their leadership, performance and contributions to our culture. We look forward to celebrating them at the annual Supernova Awards Dinner in June.
Once again, congratulations to our 2025 Supernova Award winners. Their achievements inspire all of us and reflect the strength of our community at Novacore.
